In 2014, Crimea held a referendum, 97% voted for integration with Russia, the UN deemed it invalid, &Ukraine's far-right militias began blockades of food &water to the Russian-speaking peninsula.

Did you know that Ukraine built a dam in 2014 blocking 85% of Crimea's fresh water pic.twitter.com/dpYOoQeL1e

@ToniRing4 I wonder if anyone will change their mind after seeing this. Looks more like Russia is good and Ukraine bad.

@ToniRing4 The referendum was considered invalid because it's invalid, just like all the Soviet elections. For example, in 1937, just after the Holodomor and other horrors, Stalin won 99.3% of the vote, with 0.7% of the votes either blank or invalid.

@ToniRing4 In Kherson, 87% voted in favor of Russian annexation. Yet when Ukrainian troops finally arrived it was the largest street celebrations seen since the liberation of Paris in 1944. That's because Russia has always rigged all votes and referendums.

@ToniRing4 Wasn't is already occupied by Russia?

@ToniRing4 There three more recent "referenda" on three other Ukrainian regions becoming part of Russia, with similar percentages, and with a similar relationship to reality.

@ToniRing4 Not surprising as Stalin shipped the native to Siberia and allowed Russians in - in their place. You should really learn your history
